Justice of the Peace Service

Please note: the JP Signing Service will be closed on Anzac Day (Thur 25/4/24).

The Justice of the Peace (JP) volunteers can witness a variety of documents such as statutory declarations, affidavits and land title forms. Located outside of The Coffee Club.

When visiting Brookside’s JP desk, please remember to bring:

• A government-issued Photo ID, like your driver’s license or passport,
• A blue or black pen, and
• Your documents – photocopying is available at the Brook Nextra Newsagent opposite The Coffee Club.

Make sure you have not pre-signed your documents, as they must be signed in front of the JP or C.dec.

When visiting our JPS, we recommend you continue to physical distance when lining up; to use the hand sanitiser that is available at the desks before and after handling documents and to participate in any other recommended health practices.

For more information about what a JP can assist with and what to expect, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/law/legal-mediation-and-justice-of-the-peace/about-justice-of-the-peace/jps-services

We look forward to seeing you soon and thank you for your support.
